Frequently Asked Questions
We are working hard to secure the first housing development. We are optimistic
that we can secure this development by May of 2022.
Our services are provided to the mothers and children residing in the temporary
housing.
Our families have up to 12 months of residency.
All services are free to our mothers and their children. There will be an evaluation
on a case by case basis to determine contributions from our families towards
services provided by Transitioning Queens. We will expect monetary contributions
once our families are at a position to do so.
We expect the families to respect all accommodations. To value the resources
being provided and to operate with integrity.
We consider living in a state of distress or oppression with an intimate partner as
“toxic.” When there is a pattern of destructive behaviors in the home, that is toxic.
This includes domestic violence of all forms.
