Our mission is to provide mothers with temporary housing to transition from a toxic relationship and mold them to independent, sound-minded individuals.
Our vision is to educate the community on what healthy relationships are. We no longer want toxic relationships to be the norm. Let's improve our relationships with each other and make them our stronghold.
Transitioning Queens Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Jacksonville, Florida. It was created when
our founder experienced a period of homelessness with her daughter after leaving a toxic marriage. We
received our 501(c)(3) status in March of 2019 and are housing the first mother and her 2 children with
the Vice President of Transitioning Queens. We are currently raising funds to obtain the first location for
our mothers and their children to reside in. Temporary housing is available for up to 12 months for our
families. The housing will be equipped with safety mechanisms to ensure our families are safe during
their transition. And during this transition, our families will be supported thoroughly because we
understand how critical this time is. This period is to equip our families with the essentials needed to
lead to self-sufficiency and wholeness. We are passionate about the mission and cannot wait to serve
our families.
